Hi! My name is Emilie de Meij, and I am the founder of Roots With Boots Learning Inc.

I created this program with a clear purpose: to bring together strong academic foundations and meaningful, nature-inspired learning. As a certified teacher with many years of classroom experience across multiple grade levels, I’ve seen how deeply children learn when their experiences are both intentional and connected to the real world.

 

This vision also became personal as I began searching for the right learning environment for my own son. At the time, traditional school didn’t feel like the right fit for our family, and I found myself wanting something that offered both strong academics and a more meaningful, connected approach to learning.

That is what led me to create Roots With Boots Learning.
