Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a traditional school?
Roots With Boots is an academic enrichment program for K–5 students. We focus on project-based learning that integrates literacy and math foundations with nature-inspired exploration.
Who is the program for?
We are designed for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5 who are seeking a structured, intentional academic environment that blends outdoor learning with strong academic foundations.
Is there academic instruction?
Absolutely. We integrate daily literacy and math experiences that are connected to real-world projects in nature.
What happens in bad weather?
We prioritize safety and continuity. While we love the outdoors, we are prepared for all conditions. When weather is a concern, we will utilize a shelter to continue project-based learning that maintains the same academic rigor.
How is safety handled?
Safety is our top priority. Our program follows strict protocols for outdoor exploration, including professional supervision, first-aid training, and a focus on environmental stewardship.
What makes this different?
We offer a thoughtfully designed learning environment that balances academic foundations with hands-on, real-world discovery. Through meaningful, project-based experiences, children develop confidence, resilience, and curiosity—while continuing to explore, play, and engage with the world around them.
